Paul Boudreaux is the Senior Vice President of The Gray Insurance Company and a member of the Budget, Risk, and Compensation Committees for Gray & Company, Inc. He specializes in transitional and turnaround periods, goal-oriented daily business operations, fiscal accountability and profitability, client stabilization, and employee retention and loyalty.
Prior to joining Gray, Paul served as Chief Operating Officer for Delta Title Corporation where he led the transformation of Delta’s operations resulting in improved efficiencies, revenue growth, and gains in profitability. In addition, while serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Family Security Holdings, LLC, Family Security Insurance Company, and Family Security Underwriters, LLC, he led an operational turnaround that resulted in a successful merger with United Insurance Holding Corp.
A graduate of Tulane University, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
Paul lives in Metairie with his wife, Denyse, and his sons, Connor and Borne, IV.

Karina Fina is Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of The Gray Insurance Company and its subsidiaries. She also serves as financial analyst for Gray & Company, Inc.

Since joining The Gray Insurance Company in 2003, Karina has held several leadership positions, from her initial role as a special projects manager through her transition to financial reporting.

Originally from Cali, Colombia, she attended Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Universidad ICESI. Continuing her studies in the United States, she earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Accounting from Tulane University.

Karina is a member of The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), a global non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management.

John (Jack) G. Simpson, Jr. is the Vice President of Underwriting for The Gray Insurance Company and Vice President of Gray & Company, Inc., its parent company. He also serves on Gray’s Professional Development Committee.

Starting his insurance career at The Gray Insurance Company in 1994, Jack briefly worked in the survey/audit department before transitioning into the underwriting department where he has remained since 1994.

A graduate of Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Jack continued his education at the University of New Orleans where he earned a Master of Business Administration.

The parents of two grown children, Jack and his wife, Gloria, live in Kenner.

Mark Taylor is the Vice President of Claims of The Gray Insurance Company, where he has served since 2006.

Prior to joining Gray, Mark was a Staff Trial Attorney with Waller & Associates where he handled Longshore Harbor Workman’s Compensation Act “LHWCA” and Maritime-related matters. While at the Law Office of Alan Zaunbrecher and Hailey, McNamara, Hall, Larmann and Papale, he specialized in casualty defense cases in both Workers’ Compensation and General/Auto Liability matters.

After graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, Mark attended graduate school at Louisiana State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University. He has been licensed to practice law in Louisiana since 1988 and in the state of Texas since 1995.

Mark Taylor currently lives in Mandeville with his wife Angela and the youngest of four children, Madisyn.

Eric Berger is the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for The Gray Insurance Company. He is responsible for directing government relations activities and initiatives to advance the Company’s business. . .

Eric Berger is the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for The Gray Insurance Company. He is responsible for directing government relations activities and initiatives to advance the Company’s business interests in matters related to public policy and regulatory environments.

Since the beginning of his career at Gray in 1993, Eric has overseen the acquisition of Certificates of Authority, managed regulatory compliance, and supervised market conduct exams. He has represented the Company’s interests before state legislatures and the United States Congress. He has also served in the Company’s audit, pre-insurance survey, loss prevention, underwriting, and agency departments.

In 2008, Eric was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Company by Governor Jindal. He remains active on the Louisiana Citizens’ Executive Committee, Audit Committee and he chairs the Actuarial Committee.   In addition to being active in insurance industry trade associations, including serving on the national policy-making committees of the American Insurance Association and the Property and Casualty Insurers of America, Eric also serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Louisiana Insurers Conference.

He studied Economics and Political Science at Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Tulane University.

Eric lives in New Orleans and is an avid hunter and fisherman. He is active in Scouting as well as several local and national charitable organizations.

Paul Trepagnier is the Chief Information Security Officer for The Gray Insurance Company. Since 2000, he has worked with Gray & Company, Inc., and its affiliates as Software Development Manager, Software Architect and Lead Developer.

A graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Paul earned his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans and his Ph.D. from Tulane University in Computer Science.

Focusing his dissertation on autonomous vehicles, Paul led a team to compete in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Grand Challenge in 2005 and in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. He is recognized as the lead inventor on six U.S. Patents related to autonomous vehicles.

Paul lives in Metairie with his wife, Jennifer, and his sons, Taylor, Michael, Justin, and Ryan.

Carl Schneider is the Chief Information Officer for The Gray Insurance Company. Since 2002, he has supervised all technology-related projects and the operational stability of Gray’s two data centers as well as its emergency preparedness and disaster recovery.

Prior to joining Gray, Carl served as Administrative Director of Compensation, Benefits and Human Resources Information Systems for a major health system in the New Orleans area. He was instrumental in defining and implementing enterprise-wide policies and procedures in Human Resources for 3,400 employees and 4,200 retirement plan participants.

After graduating Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Carl earned his Master of Business Administration from Tulane University. In 2005, he was on the Gray team that designed autonomous vehicle systems for the DARPA Grand Challenge and was an advisor for the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge.

A member of ARMA International and the Project Management Institute, he serves on boards for several nonprofit organizations and financial institutions and is an adjunct professor at Southeastern Louisiana University’s business school. Carl lives with his wife, Mary, in Hammond and has a daughter, Christina, who lives in New Orleans.

Cullen is past President of the Louisiana Surety Association and former committee co-chairman of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) Southeast Louisiana Chapter.

He lives in Mandeville with his wife and three children.

Jay Whealdon is Vice President of The Gray Insurance Company’s newly formed Special Products Division. This division provides buffer layers of excess workers’ compensation coverage to qualified self-insurers and self-insured groups at attachment options that are below what are generally available in the marketplace.

He began his career at Gray & Company, Inc. in 1977 and later became a retail casualty broker. In 1989, Jay founded Custom Risk Services Inc., an underwriting agency that specialized in the development, underwriting and administration of various occupational accident, excess workers’ compensation insurance and reinsurance products.

With his return to The Gray Insurance Company, Jay brings 35 years of insurance industry experience. He manages the excess workers’ compensation buffer layer program and coordinates insurance business opportunities outside of Gray’s standard program.

A graduate of Texas Christian University, Jay volunteers his time to various community and nonprofit organizations. He and his wife, Phoebe, are active members of First Baptist Covington and live in Mandeville.
